What I counted. Postings created August 1 to September 1, 2026 (UTC) where Upwork's own subcategory is Accounting & Bookkeeping or Financial Planning, the client marked the provider location mandatory, and the required location list is exactly the United States. All 429 met every condition on record-level re-verification; 66 postings that merely preferred US providers are excluded. Counted twice by independent methods, then re-verified by an adversarial recount that reproduced every figure. Budgets: 73 fixed (median $350) and 267 hourly; 89 hourly postings stated no rate and are not counted as budgeted.
